Bruchim ha-Bayim to the Lauder e-School in Poland
At the Lauder Polska e-School, we use modern technology to enable Jewish children
to access the traditions of their ancestors – no matter where they live.
Through innovation and creativity, we bring the learning of the Torah to their homes – wherever they are.
We want to provide all Polish students of Jewish descent with access to knowledge about the traditions of Judaism and the possibility of learning the Hebrew language.
Our community is scattered all over Poland (and even beyond!), where access to Jewish life is difficult or even impossible. The e-School connects families and creates a virtual community. We meet to prepare for and celebrate holidays, to meet with exciting guests.
Changes
Before the Covid pandemic, we used to meet once a year for a Shabbaton – a beautiful chance to meet in person, celebrate Shabbat together and strengthen our bonds. We haven’t met in over two years, but Covid is not the only one to blame for it.
After many years of tremendous support from the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation, we need to learn to stand on our own feet. And we have to admit – it is not easy. We have cut the expenses, trimmed whatever we could, and secured a few private donations to get us going. But without more help, we cannot survive beyond the spring semester of 2022.

Would you like to sponsor a day or week of learning to honor the memory of your loved ones or to celebrate smechot among your family and friends?
If you care about a particular date, please write well ahead of time so we have a chance to accommodate you. We have classes Sunday-Thursday, so there isn’t always a perfect match. Once you have donated, please write to us with the details about the occasion and, optionally, a photo or a note about the person(s) you would like to honor.
